Hey Karla:
I have been meaning to call or e-mail you. Ziggy is doing fantastic! He has adapted so well it's amazing. We call him Kilo. He is such a great dog. He has been housebroken since about the third week after I brought him home. I have already trained him to sit, stay, down and walk next to me without a leash. My kids love him and he loves my kids. Him and my wife have a very special relationship. Sometimes I wonder if he is my dog or hers. He is already very protective of my family. He also gets along great with our Golden Retreiver. I have not had a chance to visit the local Shutzhund Club yet but it is on my list. I have been socializing him a great deal. I try to bring him to work with me a couple of days a week where he meets about 25-30 new people each time. He is a very friendly dog and is eager to learn new things and meet new people. I am so happy that I got him from you guys. He is well worth it. In fact, whenever you do a new breeding let me know, I have a couple of friends that would like to get a dog from you. I hope everything is going well for you and Dean (tell him I said hello). Thanks for writing and I will be in touch soon. Take care. Mark

Zeva
Zeva
Hey Karla,
Wow!! do I have alot tell you about Zeva!! Of Course her name translates to (sword), and razor sharp intelligence and athletic ability she is!!! Well, where do I start? How about this morning, When Zeva and my daughter were playing who can squish who? Zeva wins this game all the time, she loves to hear Alyssa squeel !!, her tail just gets to wagging. She is absolutely wonderfull with Alyssa, and if Alyssa stays at Grandma's, Zeva will look around the house for her. I sent a picture of the squish game, also some pictures of her other talents. There is a picture of her climbing out of a 6 foot high kennel! Yes, my 6 month old Rex, Cleo daughter can climb straight up and out of a 6 foot kennel!! I'm IMPRESSED. So, I'm thinking we will probably try French Ring, after the Schutzhund career. In FR, there is a wall that is not slanted like SCH, and ranges in highth from 6- 10 foot high! NOOOO!! Problem! There are other photos of her playing QUEEN of the round bale, with my Django grandson, (Malinois). The round bale is for the horses, but the dogs use it as a jungle gym. I have to be extremely careful not to call Zeva to me overly excited when she is playing outside, because as she is excelerating towards me, she takes flight about 7 feet away from me. I have to either duck for cover or catch her mid- air on my shoulder. (And I am NOT exagerating!!) I can just see my re-calls now! She has an incredible confidence with her body for such a young age. She has gone to a couple of club days (about Three), so I could give her some exposure, she thought she was the shit! She has been wonderful!! I can basically throw her ball any where and she will get it, whether she has to crawl, climb, squeeze, pull or push. She is also, so smart that she has figured out how to open my screen door and if I don't lock the mane door she will push it open to get into the house to be with me. BRILLIANT!! I can stand in the kitchen and tell her KENNEL , and she will run from the kitchen through the living room all the way to the bed room where her crate is. When she gets there she goes in and turns around to wait for her treat. She is extremely loyal to me yet social with other people. (PERFECT TEMPERMENT!) Although, I do have some other dogs she is certain all the other dogs are just visiting, they just haven't left yet. HA! She has been awesome to have...Amanda.

Hi Karla,

Zeplin is a great puppy, loads of confidence and just a really happy guy! Everyone loves him at the clubs and we are just very happy with how he is turning out! He's an awesome looking pup as well with excellent dark color and markings and a beauitiful head.

Now that he's about done teething he's actually leaving the house intact and the shoes on our feet!!

We'll get some pictures for you this week, promise!

Cheers,
Lorie

Training

Hey Dean,

If you recall, I attended the seminar you & T gave in NJ this ummer. I had the little black Dobie bitch.

I'm pleased to let you know we passed our Sch 1 at Fairhill Sch Club in MD yesterday with a score of 273: 93 Tracking. 87 Obedience. 93 Protection (pronounced).

I got "dinged" in obedience for dumb handler errors (nerves !!!)but we got through it. Tracking conditions were bad as a storm had just rolled through and we got through that too! Overall, I'm relieved we got through it and proud as well. A LOT of what you imparted to me at the seminar really helped. Thank you much!!! Now on to learning the finer points of the sport and becoming a better handler!

Regards,

Mark

Just dropping a note to say thanks for helping get Griffin and I back on track in protection. We trialed for our SchH1 last weekend and although we didn't pass tracking (my fault for messing up the program right before trial) we earned 90 in obedience (losing 5 points on the send out) and 96
in protection.

Mike and Echo also earned 96 in protection a few weeks ago when they earned their SchH2.

These scores would not have happened, especially with Griffin, without your assistance since January.

Thank you!!

Angeli
